first timer

This is the first time I find a movie version better than the original book.

Maybe the optimist in me prefers the slightly happier ending in the movie. 

Maybe it is more justified when the person who is expected to die, dies.

I don’t care if I am missing the big picture, I am just sorely depressed about this tragic ending.

And I totally upset my “time table” by completing this book.

But the bad thing was leong lost her phone in the shop. DAMN that thief who stole her new phone. GRRRRR.

Poor Leong, your bad fortune shall be over soon and the lucky stuff that Master Khor “predicted” shall come true soon, huh? Don’t be too upset! (: 

 

btw, my vicious friends said that since the small lamb brought leong bad luck, my bigger lamb is gonna jinx me totally.

there is time for shopping and time for studying

I REALLY DO SUCK. 

Grrr, I had a massive headache yesterday after eating too much chocolates during Finance class. Why must the lecturer gave out free chocolates and why must I be so greedy to kope other’s chocolates?  I don’t even really like chocolates in the first place.

WHY?! I think there was too much chocolate in my body and this wrong combination of blood and chocolate fried my brain very badly – making me shopped IRRATIONALLY. ): 

I bought umm, 1 bag, 1 pair of shoes, 1 top, 1 pair of shorts (that i’ve no choice, reason shall not be revealed here) within 2-3 hours. The only comforting thing is, I’ve not shopped for the longest time and will not be shopping for another month (exam period) and so, this is the last time for a good treat to myself. OH WELLS. -.- 

now, is really time for studying! ALOT of invisible yet present backlogS for me to clear!

mild to moderation

I finally got my lazy bum out of bed to visit a skin doctor. I went to the nearby polyclinic hoping to get a referral to NSC (cheaper that way!) and get some professional help for my rotting skin.

Why the sudden urgency, you asked. That’s because my mum saw my naked face yesterday and hollered at me. ): She scared me with a tale (see, I chose the word tale cos’ she loves to exaggerate and there might be a hint of untruth in whatever she says) yesterday, she said her friend had to undergo skin grafting surgery because her 1 small pimple manifested into a fist size rotting mess on her face. (my mummy said that the thigh skin will be transplanted onto the face!) *shudders* But most importantly, my mum said that her friend’s 1 small pimple resembled mine – that purplish, reddish, big pimple i have on my cheek. *horrors*

I waited for 1 hour before my turn at the clinic and I came out in less than 5 minutes. 

Doc: Hi Yirene, so where are you feeling unwell?

Me: Umm, I have serious acne problem. 

Doc: Acne?! Oh, it looks fine what. I would think that is only mild to moderation acne. In fact, it is only mild acne.

Me: Are you sure?! My mum just told me that her friend went for skin grafting because of such pimples. *points to my cheek* Or how about flesh eating bacteria? Are my acne caused by those flesh eating bacteria? Will they corrode my skin away? (my sister told me that there is such stuff growing on her face and I was scared stiff)

Doc: (laughs) Your pimples won’t grow until BIG BIG (he said that, I swear!), it is really not those severe acne kind of cases. I will just write you some pimple cream…

I am feeling super hopeful now. (:

I think thebodyshop’s tea tree facial wash and that pimple cream the doc just gave me are slowly exterminating all the bacteria on my face. HAHAHA! (: I shall stop at this, let’s not jinx myself.

On a side note:

Oh oh, before I forgot, I need to rave about Fancl’s mild cleansing oil and their services. Fancl’s cleansing oil really REMOVES all make-up and impurities on your face. 2 pumps of the cleansing oil, and tadah, your face is clean of make up! (: 

And their service is soooo GOOT! (: I went to the jurong point’s outlet yesterday and they were very very polite and helpful. I was buying another bottle of cleansing oil and looking at some acne cream when the nice lady came forward to assist me. She helped me to do some skin condition check up and gave me tips on how to achieve a better skin. To top it off, she even gave me free samples of their acne lotion and acne cream for me to try and consoled me about my skin. HAHAHA. How nice right? 

I am a total Fancl’s convert. (:
