Wanling came over yesterday! (:
Less importantly (actually very impt. hahaha!), SHE BROUGHT WANG WANG FOR ME! ((:
We walked around Gamla Stan, visited the Royal Palace and ate in a pretty restaurant. If I were to open a restaurant/cafe, I am sure to decorate it in European style. (:
We then brought the girls to tcentralen for some SHOPPING! (:
Oh ya! I bought 2 H&M lippies for friends. WHO WANTS? PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT OK. One of them is H&M by Hello Kitty and the other one is just a normal H&M lipgloss. It’s a present from me, of course! If there are more people who want, I will go down to get for you guys! (: It’s sheer pink with a little bit of glittery shine to it.
After that, Sam and I rushed back home to change for our welcome dinner. The appetiser was good and umm, it stopped there. :/ But the whole atmosphere was really joyous and lively. Swedes love to sing! There MUST BE A SONG before each toast and all the songs are in Swedish, so Nic and I basically lip-sync throughout. LOL.
We went down to Cafe Opera after dinner. It was supposedly the hottest club in Stockholm, umm, but I think ZOUK is better. LOL. Really. They play 80s music, Scottish flute music mixed with some R&B (BEP, basically). And their drinks are EXORBITANT! 1 gin tonic is… 25 SGD. I think bird nest doesn’t cost as much alright. IT’S DAYLIGHT ROBBERY! Sigh. Why am I in the expensive part of Europe? HAHAHA.

I bet you forgot his name.
He is a hero, I think. A part of his heart died to rekindle the extinguished flame in Summer’s heart. Such nobility is cruel and unreasonable. Has he not tried his best to love her? Why did she show so much reluctance initially, only to hop into someone else’s lap the minute later?
One of my favourite quotes. Ironic, I know.
Tom: Look, we don’t have to put a label on it. That’s fine. I get it. But, you know, I just… I need some consistency.
Summer: I know.
Tom: I need to know that you’re not gonna wake up in the morning and feel differently.
Summer: And I can’t give you that. Nobody can.
Poor Tom (that’s his name). Thank God, he found Autumn.
Well, I can wait for my Spring, can’t I?

Why do I seem to have the most xiong modules compared to my other friends?
You know what, it has come to this point that I actually felt relieved when I do not have to work on any assignment tonight.
This has never happened in NUS. I am usually slacking for 3/4 of the week. DAMN. ):
And I have actually decided to start printing my lecture notes cos’ my assignments ain’t scoring too well. GOSH!
Actually, I’ve been scoring well for one and :/ for the other one (it has only been 1 assignment and I am getting paranoid).
ARGHHH. WHY CAN’T I LET LOOSE AND ENJOY MY LIFE AS A SLACK EXCHANGE STUDENT?
I think I have a I-need-to-be-a-perfectionist streak in me. Once I start on anything, I MUST do my best to complete it. It’s like a do it well or leave it kinda compulsive disorder.
SAVE ME! ):
And the damn thing is, I merely need to pass my modules here! But the nagging feeling inside me keeps telling me that if I don’t put in effort, I might fail. :/
Can you begin to feel the contradictions in me? Place me in a stress-charged environment (NUS) and I dare to slack my ass off. Put me in a foreign and supposedly less pressuring situation, I feel stressed for not working hard enough. WHAT IS SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH ME?!
God, please plant a chillax bone in my ribs tonight.

SCHOOL SUCKS! ): I have assignment due EVERY SINGLE DAY. ): and each involves either readings or case study.
Goodness, this is seriously more xiong than NUS. I don’t even complete/attempt tutorials back in Singapore and now I am rushing to meet deadlines daily. I have less than 8 hours of sleep per day which is common back in Sg but for no apparent reason, I feel very sleepy here. I NEED TO CLOCK AT LEAST 10 HOURS OF SLEEP to feel refreshed.
Sigh. Each day passed so quickly, it’s February already! I’ve been here for more than 2 weeks and everyday is just flashing passed me. Seriously, thinking about what to cook daily is absolutely time consuming and tiring; it takes up 3-4 hours to cook 2 meals daily. My day has officially shortened to a 20 hour day. ): No wonder my maid always seems to be so busy. It’s such a chore to cook! But the bonding time we spent together while cooking is invaluable and hilarious. So me not complaining much huh. (:
On a side note, sorry friends, for not having enough time to skype with you guys, especially Zihui! I miss you so very much but I am really busy cooking and doing assignments! Terribly sorry! Will skype you soon ok? (:
How I wish everyday is a Saturday (Sunday most shops are closed early) and I have no deadlines to meet. -Insert BIG sigh-
BTW, this is how I spent my last weekend:
Saturday
Wanted to go ski but the place was packed and the queue was darn long. Will be going to ski either on Wednesday or Friday! (:
The glove on my left hand belongs to Kelvin, we call it the BEAR PAW. Nic has the Tiger Paw while AJ has the Lion Paw. (:
Oh, I was trying to growl like a bear.

MARCUS dont you dare to say I look like a BAZHANG! I am going to ski ok, so either I freeze into a Potong Ice Cream or look like this! HMPH!
After that, we went to be Cai Tous in Asian market again. :/
Sunday: Museum day
me looks retarded. :/
finally, today’s picture.
I HATE SCHOOL, can’t believe I am reading my cases in the library. ):
Ok, i needa hand in another assignment later. It’s past midnight and I have not touched it. ):
CIAO, loves. (:

Finally went to school today. Gosh, the students here are helluva competitive. It’s no wonder why they are the cream of the crop in Sweden. Pace of lesson was painfully slow, maybe cos’ we took FNA before, it was pretty easy. BUT from next lesson onwards, it’s gonna be :/, cos’ it’s a whole new arena which we have not been taught before. Well, I am here to LEARN, ain’t I?
We’ve decided that we would eat out ONCE per week to reward ourselves for cooking almost daily, two meals a day.
And this week, we, being the epitome of KIASU Singaporeans, decided to stuff ourselves silly with PIZZA HUT BUFFET!
Just to let you peeps back home know how fortunate you are…
Scotch tape costs 10SEK = 2 SGD here.
Popular sells it for less than 50cents. I AM GLAD I BROUGHT A ROLL OF SCOTCH TAPE. (:
Aj was telling us the average income of a Swede is 4K which is lower than an average Singaporean (4.8K). BUT why are the stuff so expensive here? GOSH! How do the people here survive?!
We came up with a few reasons:
1. Free education
2. Free health benefits
3. Good welfare benefits
4. Prevalent usage of credit cards (everyone pays their groceries with credit cards except us!)
Oh wells, bottomline: I MISS SINGAPORE! ):
